Privacy Policy

Last updated: 29 August 2026

1. Who is responsible

CamelBee is the data controller for the personal data described here. For anything about this policy or your data — including any request under section 7 — email support@camelbee.io, which reaches the person responsible.

2. What we collect, and why

DataWhyLegal basis
Your email address, name, and the identifier from the provider you signed in with (Google or GitHub) To create and authenticate your account. Handled on our behalf by Clerk. Performance of a contract
How many projects you generated, on which date, and when you last generated one To apply the limits that come with your plan. Performance of a contract
Technical logs: IP address, session identifier, request type and size, timestamps Rate limiting, preventing abuse, diagnosing faults. Legitimate interest in keeping the service running
Analytics: pages visited, browser and device type, approximate location from a truncated IP, via Google Analytics cookies To understand which parts of the site are used. Legitimate interest in understanding how the site is used

3. What we do not keep

The projects you generate are built in a temporary directory, streamed to you as a zip, and then the zip and the directory are deleted. We do not retain the generated project, its source code, or the service and package names you chose. We do not sell personal data, and we do not share it for advertising.

4. Who else processes your data

Clerk for authentication, Amazon Web Services for hosting and usage records, and Google Analytics for website analytics. Each acts under a data processing agreement, or as an independent controller where that is the correct relationship. Some process data outside the European Economic Area; those transfers rely on the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses or an equivalent safeguard.

5. How long we keep it

Account data for as long as your account exists, deleted when you delete it. Usage records for up to 12 months. Technical logs for up to 90 days. Where we are required to keep records for tax or accounting purposes, we keep them for as long as the law requires.

6. Cookies

Strictly necessary cookies keep you signed in and are set by Clerk; the service cannot work without them. Analytics cookies are set by Google Analytics when you visit the site, and are used only to measure how the site is used — never for advertising or profiling. IP addresses are truncated before they reach Google. You can block or delete these cookies through your browser, or with a browser extension, and doing so limits nothing on the site.

7. Your rights

If you are in the EEA or the UK you have the right to access your data, correct it, have it erased, receive a copy in a portable format, and object to processing carried out on the basis of our legitimate interests, analytics included. Email support@camelbee.io and we will act within one month. You may also complain to your national data protection authority, though we would rather you told us first.

8. Security

Traffic is encrypted in transit. Authentication is delegated to Clerk rather than implemented in-house. No system is perfectly secure, and we will tell affected users without undue delay if a breach occurs that is likely to put their rights at risk.

9. Children

CamelBee is a developer tool, is not intended for anyone under 16, and we do not knowingly collect data from children.

10. Changes

If this policy changes materially we will update the date above and tell account holders by email.
